conspiracy theories
One of those things is the weird fire spree that takes place every year around the same date near my house. Yeah! Today we noticed a huge fire in the forest, it was really weird and since my mum was scared that it burns down our electric pole, we called 115 and the firemen took a whole 45 minutes to find the place. I thought after all these years the guys working there knew our address by heart! Anyway, after half an hour of firefighting the fire was under control.
My point is, last year, on the 26th of November, something similar happened, the sugarcane field in front of my house caught fire. I had even blogged about it! Oh God! I was so stupid then, finding a fire something fun! Now it's not. I remember in 2001 something similar happened and it was in November.
You see! It is a sign! It is a fucking sign! But I don't know what it means!
The last time the firemen talked about sabotage. I mean what is there to sabotage in a cane field? But the first time it was the savanna and this time it's the forest. It's private property damage or whatever and I think we gotta put an end to this! hmmph...
Anyway, see ya'll dudettes and dudes and my paranoid aliens.
P.S: I got a new haircut! :P It makes me look like her, but I'm quite happy with it! :D
You know what this smile means? Never ever try to take a picture of yourself when you've just woken up. Here's what it will look like! I'm just too lazy to take a good pic!

Vermilion part 2 - Slipknot
All the torment and the pain
Leaked through and covered me
I'd do anything to have her to myself
Just to have her for myself
Now I don't know what to do, I don't know what to do when she makes me sane.
She is everything to me
The unrequited dream
A song that no one sings
The unattainable, Shes a myth that I have to believe in
All I need to make it real is one more reason
I don't know what to do, I don't know what to do when she makes me sad.
But I won't let this build up inside of me
I won't let this build up inside of me
I won't let this build up inside of me
I won't let this build up inside of me
A catch in my throat choke
Torn into pieces
I won't, no!
I don't wanna be this...
But I won't let this build up inside of me
I won't let this build up inside of me
I won't let this build up inside of me
I won't let this build up inside of me
She isn't real
I can't make her real
She isn't real
I can't make her real
Quoting Wikipedia:
The lyrics in Vermilion have been heavily influenced by the concepts of German philosopher Frederich Nietzsche and French philosopher René Descartes. "I'm a slave, and I am a master" refers to Nietzsche's master-slave morality theory, while "I exist through my need" and "She isn't real, I can't make her real" refers to Cartesian dualism.
It has been suggested that the title Vermilion comes from the word "Verisimilitude" which means "seeming to be real." This is supported by the lyrics "she isn't real", not to mention the fact that Vermilion itself is a colour, a shade of red implying the relations of the color red to the lyrics. Furthermore, in magazine interviews, lead singer Corey Taylor had stated that it was a love song for his now former wife Scarlett. This further ties in with the name of the song, "Vermilion" being a shade of red and Scarlett as well.
And the video, beware, it's a little weird!
Anyway, today I realised that the month is almost over and that I did not blog about a crush of the month, so I opened my media player and played lots of new songs but nothing really inspired me until I remembered this one. I asked Jev to send it to me because I never backup my music and I end up losing them every time my laptop has mood swings.
My favourite part in this song is this:
She is everything to me
The unrequited dream
A song that no one sings
Ahh the song no one sings! This is so damn romantic. OK I need to get a hold of myself. Been a while I haven't been like this. I think I'll spend the night reading and listening to Vermillion.
What I see when I listen to it? For once it's the view from my room, that is, the forest and I feel the wind from the window. This is bliss dudettes and dudes, at least for now this is bliss to me!
So long!

Tired...
I've got so much stuff to do that I feel like I'm gonna crack. Too much stress, too much work load, been a while I've lived life like I used to some weeks ago. For someone like me, not having fun is like hell! Yeah I wanna be carefree! I feel like I've grown up all of a sudden. Having to take care of this, take care of that! This is so damn ruining me. The worst thing is that I'm rude to the people I love because I just can't handle stress. I tried to calm down last night I couldn't. The good thing is that this will be over soon. Once the vacations are here I can be happy and care free again!
Thanks for listening to me dudettes and dudes! You're my therapists! :D
By the way, got something funny to narrate. Today on MBB's forum someone told me that my blog looks like a cauliflower (chou-fleur)! hihi Am I the only one thinking he's never seen a cauliflower?
Sorry can't help gossiping!

Online Communities
The existence of online communities can be explained by the human kind's need to communicate. As the famous quote from John Donne goes, No man is an island. People spend so much time online, on the web that they start building a community there, sharing conversations with people having common interests and hobbies. And as the web connects people from all countries and cultures, this permits people to learn and share experiences from all around the globe. It is not only limited to one's physical neighbourhood or group of friends. During the past decades online communities have tremendously developed and have become part of our socio-cultural reality for some of us, at least. For instance, I have an offline life which is very much complementary with my online life. Often at dinners at relatives' place, I'm asked, "so how is your blog doing?" or when I try to take a picture of someone, I get the following response: "I hope this is not gonna be on your blog!" Ten years ago I don't think anyone would have known what's a blog or given such an importance to his/her online image.
Another thing is, we are spending more and more time online. The internet is no longer used just for the sake of checking ones mail or finding informations, it is used for more personal reasons from finding dates, making friends to earning money and publishing ones thoughts. For these different purposes exist different sites like myspace, hi5 and blog hosts. A common point in all these sites is the interaction that they provide to their members.
In brief, I attribute the existence of online communities to mankind's irrepressible need to communicate and share thoughts irrespective of where they are. In other words, we are building a parallel world, an online world.
p.s: This post was written cause I'm participating in MBB's Theme Of the Week.

Can't believe I missed it!
Anyway, it's been a year since I did my first post, that is pom pom, hihi. I won't go into a total review of my blog by posting visits and comments stats and such things, else people will come and shout funny stuff on my shoutbox! (wink @ "Rob", the guy who found my stats, annoying). Oh and by the way, Rob, next time you have some free time in a UOM lab, do something more meaningful! You gave me the impression that I make you angry and that I'm terribly important to you and I so totally hate this feeling :D So much bitterness is not good for you and consequently for me.
Ah! I'm relieved! lol
Anyway, coming back to the original subject, 1 year of blogging has been a wonderful experience. Sometimes, it has been addictive, sometimes not, most of the time fun and rewarding and it has remained a wonderful hobby.
The thing is, I'm quite out of inspiration lately. So I hope I'll be posting something meaningful real soon.
Have fun dudettes and dudes and my happy aliens and thank you all for helping me to make it to this one year. Hope there are more years to come! Ciao!

I've been negatively reviewed!
i wanted to create a blog where you will come to know about only the flaws of your blog and go out crying.
sounds fun! Anyway, I was reviewed and I must say that it's not as bad as I expected! He sure found out that I'm terribly narcissic! :P
I hope to read the reviews of other blogs on his "bash list" soon! lol! Yeah and he gave weird names to each of the bloggers on his list. Mine is "self-centred star" and my fave is Waz' which is "post mitraillette"! hihi I wonder about the why of this particular nickname! :D
So long dudettes and dudes and my amused aliens!

3 things to die for and my top musical picks.
The 3 things that I'd die for would be:
1. A room the size of my home.
2. Google.com
3. My brain when I was 11 years old.
OK! all these things are to be taken lightly, except no. 3! hihi.
Ah! and now my top musical picks!!
Now now! I did blog about those as my crush of the month. So it's time for some posts digging.
hmm, apart from those, I totally love movie soundtracks, especially those which feature some kinda unknown music bands.
So here goes dudettes and dudes, a tag that was not really well answered. I'm off for some sleep. But before I go, here's the name of the people I'm tagging. Jevin, Keli, Rooch, BbZush, Roushdat, Adi, Waz, Manico, Lord Manila.
I won't mind if you don't do it! lol! See ya'all!

Diwali, the festival of lights
Tomorrow we'll be celebrating Diwali, the festival of lights. To me, this festival represents joy, merriment and lights but most of all it represents the victory of good over evil by taking its sources in the story of Rama and Ravana found in the Ramayana.
However Divali was more fun to me when I was a kid. I remember the huge prayer that was held in the middle of our family property in Goodlands on the eve of the festivals. My grandfathers, who were all pandits, used to tell my cousins and me stories taken from the holy scriptures. There were so much children living close by that it was easy to have fun, especially on the day of the festival. We used to go together to distribute cakes among relatives and neighbours.
Ever since we came to live here, things have somewhat changed. Anyway, we still send cakes to our relatives but the fun is not as great as it was before. Part of me wishes to be a child again. Ah well! To fill this lacuna, I've made some round lanterns today. Nothing too complicated. I've just rolled and stuck together the two sides of some somewhat wide bristol bands. I've cut some shapes on the bristol bands and stuck crepe paper at the back.
Tomorrow we'll be making a "rangoli" with flowers and presenting the cakes. Pictures will be posted tomorrow.
Take care dudettes and dudes and my festive aliens! Have fun! :D

summer's finally here!
Moreover, this summer is the first time that my coconut tree has produced coconuts and my palm trees have produced those lovely red seeds which my dad calls "supay" or "supari" and which are used in prayers when dried.
And oh! we've got a new-comer on the earth patch near the kiosk, I totally love this white flower, though I don't know it's name.
Oh, something else, I got this from BbZush:
The designer of this award gave it out to 10 people with this in mind:
“I wanted to create something special for the top ten people who have inspired me through their blogging; the stories they tell, and the lives that they lead with grace and dignity. I visit their blogs for inspiration and encouragement.”I pass this award on to everyone on my blogroll. I know it makes more than 10 but some of you won't accept it, so it'll be roughly 10. lol!
Have a wonderful day/night dudettes and dudes!
P.S: I specially wish to give this award to Jev cause he's always been there when I really needed to smile. :$
