I am damn scared of lizards of all kinds or any reptile for that matter and over the years I thought that I was over that, as I no longer fear to sleep in the same room as a lizard. Even yesterday, as I was standing quite close to this lizard to take this picture, I was not scared. OK, just a little bit scared but not overly scared.
So today I decided to test whether I have indeed got rid of this phobia and I went to the perfect place to do this - Google image search. Haha! And I simply typed "lizards" and waited and I saw a parade of lizards of all kind in front of me pretending not to be the vicious creatures that they are and I closed the tab. I had enough... And if you're wondering, yeah I'm still scared of lizards.
Lizards are freaky. And they are scary. Have you ever noticed how they always seem to be conspiring on something. I cant sleep if there's a lizard in my room and I doubt I ever will.

ReplyDeletehahahaha! lizards are cool , particularly the ones which are colorful :) once one of the normal one just lost grip from where it was (the ceiling i guess) and splattered right on my head hahaha Cold sensation ... and guess what .. it lost his tail in the process and i wonder how it could still make it move :P telepathy ?

Who likes lizards? :P While I'm not scared of them, I sure wished they would stay away, except the beautiful ones. I think I got rid of my fear for reptiles when I got the role of a chameleon in Std 1. Now, they fascinate me...

ReplyDeleteI'm amazed at how lizards' tail move when they've been cut. It's so weird. My cat likes eating lizards but he always leaves the tails behind, dunno why. :p
Nussaibah, I wish I could get rid of that fear too. Chameleons are freakier in fact. I saw one in the garden today and I really wanted to run away. aargh :(

hey i noticed there were tons of those big colored lizards around lately. they started proliferating at rooch's i think, thats what she said!

I don't like lizards. I remember seeing my cat torture a lizard when i was in MU. Argh. The one in this photo looks 'nice' though. haha. It's a bit weird using the word nice to describe a lizard. Let's just say that i like the colors. :)
ReplyDeleteI'm not particularly afraid of lizards. Just find them disgusting, 'cause I don't seem to have any of those colorful ones at my place, just the weird green ones.... But cockroaches is another story... I just hate them and can't seem to overcome that fear!
ReplyDeleteThe lizards I see are house lizards. We call them 'cicak'. They are pretty harmless and they help to eat the the insects. When frightened, they drop their tails but will grow again, I guess.

Ahh cockroaches... I hate them too. I don't mind spiders though.

I wish I had cameleons in my new garden though... Hehee
lizards are mysterious creatures! i kinda like observing them..they always seem to be staring at me with their "huge" eyes! im not scared of them, they are pretty nice preys for my cat.

I'm "ok" with lizards even though I'm not fond of them. I'm scared of spiders, especially the big ones. I don't like killing insects but once I saw a *giant* spider (hmm, ok maybe not giant.. but definitely very big!)in my room and I knew I wouldn't be at peace as long as it was there. The only thing I had at hand was a deodorant spray. I kinda suffocate the spider to death by spraying all my deodorant on it!

ReplyDeleteI like lizzards. But I hate flying roaches. Esp. The 1s the have legs like spiders. I ac. Cry if there is 1 in my room or any where. I scream and run like lighting when they start flying. Shit the r hard to kill. I wish they didn't exsist.aaaaarrrrrrrhhhhh ROACHES!!!!!!!!!!!!
