Too much orange kills the orange

orange at UOM
Orange used to be one of my favourite colors until, a company of the same name as the color came to settle here bringing with it a massive publicity campaign which aims at letting every single person in Mauritius know that it is here, THE big orange!
orange
Now everywhere I go I see orange sticking up my nose in the form of horrible orange cubes, horrible orange stickers and horrible orange banners. I've had enough of orange. They are blowing this whole "coming to Mauritius thing" out of proportion. It's not like we did not have a decent mobile network before or that they are here to save us from technological doom. From what I've read so far nothing greatly positive can be expected from them.
orange in bazar

orange in the bazaar

Anyway above is an image taken from a bazaar which sells mainly vegetables and foodstuff, and it was to no surprise when old ladies came there asking where's the mega sale of oranges held.

Aah so long dudettes and dudes and my pissed-off-at-orange aliens. Right now it's 3:49 AM. I can't believe I'm still up!

  1. How can a company hold the trademark for the word orange? It's an insane world.

  9. Yea, Orange isn't the best mobile services in the world me reckons, but you have to admit they know how to do advertisement.

    ReplyDelete
  10. yea..the same thing is happning with vodafone here.... red red all over ....on a single street u cab se about 12 -14 advertisements....

  11. Well, Orange definitely was the best cell phone service provider according to me. No irritating "I have an offer for you (my life sucks)" phone calls, no Smses asking questions a 2 year old can answer, no GPRS links about hot beauties being sent all the time. It was Orange all over at that time and we loved it.

    Then Hutch took over, and everything soon got Pink, followed by Vodafone who thought it appropriate to put up Red everywhere. Oof!

  12. i was hoping to come back to a country where cellplus still exists :(

  13. great pictures. i think orange does not have many fans here in mauritius :D

  14. ur having a go at controversial posts lately but i guess this is different cause every1 will say they hate orange.

    first because it's new and we hate the change for cell+ to something which is not-so-mauritian

    second because nothing extraordinary has been given to customers. we have just been shown publicity.no gifts etc

    third because of the fair usage policy which is a little unconvenient for netizens.

    then the problem comes when most of the population uses the mobile service but only a few uses the internet service. so that would mean that the majority will overlook the poor internet service because they will be satisfied by the mobile service and thus they would see no harm in welcoming orange.

    samby, i guess those companies spend half of their income in those adverts

    alok, in terms of mobile services they might be good but it seems that their internet services won't even be satisfactory.

    kervin, yeah! no to orange :P

    usha, povre toi... that may never happen

    dee, yeah it's quite obvious that they don't have much fans here. hihi

  27. We are apprehensive how much to say – given the debacle of the mega crash of the USA economy, what has led to the Bail out – President Obama anger that they still want $10 millions bonus. The like of Madoff $50 billions scan and tons of others – we have been compelled to use this public/private social platform to address the mega Orange not muddle – but taking the very people and individual who has helped them to the Laundry in Italian, Irish and British Term.

    This saga started in 1997 and those who recall the Internet providers in Britain – EU then. Beside the run for the gold mine – the network, political association. BT had the biggest monopoly of the telephone and Lady Tacther government concept then John Major. BT could not go on forever to control that industry and Cable and wireless. Both of these companies they treated their customer's like dirt, they were arrogant, nasty, abusing their trust, playing police, politic with those who could not defend themselves – in other word plain very nasty. Besides the very negative synergy/dynamic they generated. The use and abuse of "corporate satanic rave/rage" and the government wonder about "anti social and neighbor from hell" practices the populace have adopted and taken over.

    For these reasons given that our families come from Mauritius, Seychelles and Reunion – the bones of the relative buried there. I/we had been the conceptor of the SIROP etc exile return program, please the very many article on that issues. The Mauritius and Seychelles community in Britain and EU, along with other communities from then OAU – todays African Union.

    The new EU Market regulative had come into place and a few young companies had joined the gold rush – given the political, social and economic constraint we decided to join Freeserve as Internet provider and BT provided the line. { There will be many individuals, including lawyers, economist, police officials who will read and study what we have written here -we will elaborate a bit}

    In Britain, the British government, the Intelligence Services, the fraternal/masonic establishment, the major NGO – like NCVO and LVSC are aware of the very important and historic contribution we made towards the changes in the COMECON, USSR, East Germany, German Reunification , economic changes in France and Britain – the issues we had been involved that Mauritius became a Republic, the mega Indian ocean political – Cold War debacle.

    As such there/that individual or group of individual they must have super Net working connection /abilities or be working with very powerful global networks or have th ability , knowledge to manage such very important global and international networks multinational big business, leading national economy, multinational finance , Stock Markets and EU complex political, economic system, their institutions and mechanism. { Those in Britain and EU who have known and knew our capacity, expertise and involvements.} We have been involved in the issues of the WWW, Computer development science's, telephone technology and licensing Issues. - again those who know and pretend they do not know}

    We informed FreeServe of some of these connection and associated network. Six months in our contract – they started getting major benefits and large client volumes because out Internet was being provided by them. - this is called or term synergy/dynamic creating. The massive positive synergy/dynamic they were getting. Again those who knew and the police who monitored those issues.

    In those days we did not have that SEYEU.COM portal project – we just had our Network, French Fraternal/archaic network, involving Seychelles, Mauritius, Reunion, Francophone, Canada, Quebec, The economic battle raging. Those in France who knew and the very many other big economic and political decision which have come about as results. { Those making their $millions and billions on our backs – the very many protests} In Italy, India and Africa or the Arab world individuals or families or Network that can do – make such , move such issues they get some kind of payment, recognition, kick back or whatever – we got and have been getting nothing – our many protest and plea to the Mauritius government , the parliament and Mauritius media among others.}

    The French Masonic establishment Those from Wanadoo who recall all the issued – Wanadoo decided suddenly to buy/take over FreeServe. Again all the issues at the time. In France the hype, in Mauritius the debacle of Cyberspace city, in Sir Lanka, Seychelles some of the issues the Caremjee family, the stetting group of Atlas and Space Seychelles – FA Rene and the Iranian wanting to start up their own satellite project.

    Wanadoo made very big money – the involvement of France Telecom. Upon the decision for Wanadoo to take over Free Serve – we explained them some of the issues. They had come with their new system. For £21 you got Broad band, a second phone and a box you can connect your computer with out a cable. The line rental £21. by BT given the remote location of the village in England.. Two years ago suddenly the box they had supplied started mal functioning – we could not use the second or free phone – we went about joining other system for free phone or cheap on line phone. It meant that we had to use BT phone and the cost. Wanadoo promised to solve the issues. Instead the situation go worse. They would and were making massive money as explain on our back in many large transaction and France Telecom – and we kept telephoning their Technicians in Britain and India – they were taking us for rides.. We wrote countless emails – we explained that we could if we so wanted cancel that account and go to BT or another company they would loose $millions or billions in multinational or syndicated business.

    In 2004/5 after my return from Seychelles, the mega tsunami and earth quake the efforts to recuperate money owned to us in Seychelles South Africa, gulf region and Britain had failed. The explanation we have made world wide about that Seychelles EU community portal project the EU commission and the EU parliament, the EU court.

    We decided come what may in one form or another we will have a web presence for our community. The promised involvement of LVSC/Evelyn Oldfield Unit, promised from the like of former Sir James Mancham, FA Rene , GMR conglomerate, South African company based in Mauritius, one or tow leading company in France – the same in Germany – nobody ever gave or donate a cent. Including such promise from the EU commission over the deals they were doing making with Seychelles, Reunion, Mauritius, Comor, Madagascar on our back. e abuse this situation unlike other nations.}

    With just a few hundred pound sterling, a number of leading IT connection in Britain – London, Sainbury Group – their super store magazine department. A great deal of swearing – finally the Mauritius Australia Community agreed to lend us their support to put our portal project together.

    We had already concepted a Coat of Arms for our Seychelles EU community and the tons of very positive synergy/dynamic which had come about – this catapulting business in $billions and millions – still nobody gave us a cent or even said thank you.

    We first put put Seychelles EU community forum and stated bluntly many of the abuses and past situations.

    It took us two years to put that Seychelles EU connection portal project together meanwhile the continent government , institutions in EU, the big banks , the Stock markets, the European Central banks. The big telephone companies who were making their billions. The mega bonanzas in the USA, the world Oil hike on the back of that project – many will ask what make it so unique – study the concept yourself. We have helped build the EURO from £1.60 to £1 or less. This is the mega scam , bench mark dishonest crap which have brought abut the world,economic crash and collapse – we have been involved three time in the mess - recall the gold rush for online service and the such why it came down because we knew what was going on and we decided to pull the plug.

    We have had very important and major connection with Orange – some would say the people or Masonic connection. How and what issues on the back of that Seychelles EU connection portal project they decided to buy Wanadoo – French Telecom. For those who do not know the Logo of Sainsbury is orange – their brand logo. Meanwhile on that portal project because we bout the the soft wear from Sainsbury the massive profits they have been making and will continue to make in the future- unless we use a complete different software to do that portal project.

    In Mauritius, Seychelles, Reunion., Madagascar, Comor those who have seen and monitored the impact on that Seychelles EU community in EU, in the Indian Ocean, African Union and the francophone. The debacle about Mauritius to start a Cyber city – many of the issues and politic were linked – the Mauritius media have refused to write about these we have in many instances.

    In 2006 the acquisition of Wanadoo by Orange. The same racket started – we telephone and phone Orange explaining we need a new box and Broad system – they keep saying they will repair the current system and they have never done.

    In 2007 the announcement they were moving into Mauritius and acquiring Plus Cell. What we cannot understand the Careemjee family who went to Seychelles on the back of our network did not realize or they did and just join the thieving spree The people and small business in Mauritius are never told and never explained such issues.

    From their involvement in the African Union Telecom Market. Very important the decision to transfer major part of Orange management system to Mauritius. Here at work is fraud on a massive scale – we have threaten to address, get the EU involved –like we have the debacle of Microsoft, we have kept quiet because you need money and lawyers to help – beside the economic situation in Mauritius and the region.

    Last December we said enough was enough. We have been sounding around like very many Mauritius and Seychelles families in Britain for the best deal – In Kent certain location you cannot get these deal. We decided to move to Talk Talk. It turn out they have to rent their Broad band connection from BT or the such and that would cost us £10 per month extra.

    Meanwhile we have go to the local, Orange shop and bluntly told the staff more or less what we have written here. We have told then that they could loose $millions and billions and see major corporate Network melt down if we closed our account and switched to another company/. Given the ruthless practice in UK they do not care a crap if you take them to court or whatever – their attitude.

    Before we made the next move we had wanted to write to the CEO of Orange in Mauritius copy to the media. We have not done this. We have canceled our old account and in 30 days will open a new account that way we get a new box and a spare phone and they will take over the land line all for £21. and we will discontinue the Talk Talk account.

    For very many this will be difficult or sound some kind of very crazy article from those who know me/us as SIROP14 very sadly it is reality/ Read out threads on AKS about the Davos World Economic forum, Read our thread about President Ghadaffi, read our thread about president Obama and the fiasco the world is in and the mega economic melt down and round the corner an equally major situation.

    We hope Mauritius will act on these issues and the Mauritius politicians and the Mauritius police authorities – to the readers please point our article to Orange in Mauritius.

    Then the politicians wonder the small people on the streets are very angry and want to tear the system down - with their gutter press they know what is going on and the utter scam and scandalous financial and economic practices In place.
