Lemons of wrath

I am emotionally attached to my lemons and lemon trees. It's an unexplainable and totally weird feeling but it's that way, I can't help it. Every time someone tries to approach my lemon trees I feel nervous.

Now yesterday I came to know that some kids stole lemons from my tree and no need to say that I was angry, firstly because they could have asked. Of course, I would have said no, but they would have had the great feeling of having been polite. Secondly because I know they are going to sell those lemons or do something weird with them, as I doubt they were actually planning a pitcher of chilled lemon juice. Duh!

Now now people will call me of all names saying how cruel I am for not letting people pick lemon from my trees. I am not that mean. Once an old lady was passing by and offered me ten rupees for 4 lemons, and I gave them to her freely. OK, I know that won't give me a place next to Mother Theresa, wherever she might be, but that sure made you think I am relatively nice, huh?

Something has got to be done to prevent future lemon thefts and I'm off to trim my lemon trees and count my lemons. So long dudettes and dudes and my crazy aliens.

P.S: My toe is fine. :D

  1. LOL you're gonna count your lemons? :P I think next time you should either plant the tree far from your gate. That's where it is, right??

  2. yup it's close to the gate, but they climbed the wall to steal those lemons.

  10. Well may it be lemon or anything else one should always respect and hence ensure the safety of the beloved entities. So you are correct, Go ahead. But don't you feel love should also spread and if your love can bring other happiness, it worths it, eh? ;) kidding.

  11. keli, yup it seems some people can't resist stealing everything they find growing on their path! :(

samby, my trees are protected by a wall ;) I have a cat too and 4 dogs which were guarding the property. In fact I got to know of the theft by the barking of the dogs, they almost killed those "thieves".

Abinash, in fact now that I think about it, if someone asks me politely for some lemons I could give some without hesitation, but no one actually asked, they just stole. :(

  18. wow you have a lemon tree? I know people with mango or papaya trees but it's the first time i've heard of someone with a lemon tree in MU. I suppose that you don't live in PL then. Anyway, fewer and fewer people have gardens in MU nowadays. :(

  24. I've never seen a lemon tree for real! :o I bet it must smell good in your garden with those lemons ^^

My neighbor once had an apple tree in his yard and I thought the tree looked cute. Hahaha. And also it was the first time I actually saw an apple tree. I never knew apple trees grew in Mu. I think the neighbors didn't take enough care of the tree because in the end it just died!
